Women in Leadership
When one looks at the history of the last 100 years and the leaders and news makers, we would be hard pressed to find women. A quote by Lawrence H Summers says ”a society that does not establish pathways to leadership for all of its citizens is a society that is denying itself a possibility of excellence”. Calling for more women in the workplace should not be a race to meet a quota; it should be about maximizing an organisation’s potential, better decision-making, higher employee retention, and increased innovation. An organisation where women can be found at every rung will be a better workplace for everybody.
